ANTGAMER is pushing QHD gaming monitors into 540Hz territory with two new models designed for players who want high resolution without giving up an extremely fast refresh rate. The company has introduced the 24.5-inch ANT255TQ and 27-inch ANT275TQ, with both monitors using a new-generation HMO (High Mobility Oxide) backplane.
The two displays combine a 2560 × 1440 QHD resolution with a 540Hz refresh rate. While 540Hz monitors are primarily aimed at competitive gaming, moving to QHD gives users more pixels than the Full HD panels commonly found on ultra-high-refresh displays. The result is a combination of sharper image quality and fast motion handling.
ANTGAMER lists a 1.31ms GtG response time and a 1.87ms MPRT response time for both models. These specifications are paired with the 540Hz refresh rate to reduce visible motion blur during fast movements, particularly in competitive shooters and other games where players frequently track moving targets.
The monitors also feature ANTGAMER’s second-generation high-color-gamut ultra-black display technology. The company says the displays cover 98.4% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, giving them a wide color range for gaming and general multimedia use.
Another part of the display package is ANTGAMER’s second-generation ultra-fast HFL material flicker-free solution. Both monitors also use the company’s AVS picture quality engine and a dual-sided backlight system.
The ANT255TQ and ANT275TQ share the same core specifications, with screen size being the main difference. The ANT255TQ uses a 24.5-inch panel, while the ANT275TQ increases the display size to 27 inches. Both retain the QHD resolution and 540Hz refresh rate.
The new HMO backplane is one of the key technologies behind the displays. High Mobility Oxide backplanes are designed to provide the electrical characteristics needed for high-speed pixel operation, making the technology a suitable match for very high refresh-rate panels.
ANTGAMER has not yet provided all of the specifications for the two monitors in the supplied announcement. Pricing, availability, brightness, adaptive-sync support, ports, HDR support, and other gaming features have not been detailed.
