G.SKILL is adding a new high-end option to its DDR5 lineup, and this time the focus is not just on higher memory speeds. The company has announced the Trident Z5 Royal NeoX series with support for AMD’s new EXPO Technology, featuring Ultra Low Latency, known as AMD EXPO-ULL. The new kits are rated at DDR5-6000, with memory timings ranging from CL36 down to CL26.
The move gives AMD Ryzen users another option for tuning memory latency without simply pushing the memory frequency higher. G.SKILL says the AMD EXPO-ULL profiles include additional memory sub-timing adjustments compared with its existing DDR5 kits that support standard AMD EXPO profiles. These settings are designed to reduce latency at the same DDR5-6000 data rate.

AMD EXPO-ULL requires a compatible AMD processor, motherboard, and supported BIOS version. Once supported hardware and firmware are in place, users can enable the EXPO-ULL profile to apply the tuned memory settings. This means the actual results will depend on the specific AMD platform and BIOS configuration.
The Trident Z5 Royal NeoX also carries the premium styling associated with G.SKILL’s Royal series. The modules feature a mirrored silver or gold finish, along with a crystalline light bar for RGB illumination. The design is aimed at high-end gaming PCs and enthusiast systems where the memory is visible through a tempered-glass side panel.

The new lineup will cover configurations from DDR5-6000 CL36 to DDR5-6000 CL26, giving buyers several latency options. The DDR5-6000 CL26 models will likely attract the most attention from enthusiasts looking to reduce memory latency on compatible AMD systems.

G.SKILL says the Trident Z5 Royal NeoX series will become available worldwide in phases. Pricing, capacity configurations, and regional availability will depend on local markets and retail partners.
