XERON is entering the budget CPU cooler market with the NEX A61 ARGB, a new single-tower air cooler aimed at modern AMD AM5 processors and gaming-focused PC builds. Priced from $34.99, the cooler combines a direct-touch heatpipe design, dual fans, ARGB lighting, and an offset heatsink layout designed to provide more room for tall memory modules.
The NEX A61 ARGB is built around a thermal design that XERON says is tuned for the concentrated heat produced by newer AM5 CPUs. Its direct-touch heatpipes use triple-parallel-pipe coverage across the CPU contact area, aiming to spread heat more effectively into the tower heatsink. XERON lists processors such as the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and Ryzen 7 9850X3D among the high-end chips the cooler is designed to handle.
Two fans operate in a push-pull configuration to move air through the heatsink. The fans use full-circumference silent ring-blades, with the reinforced structure designed to reduce resonance while maintaining airflow. They can reach up to 1,800 RPM, while XERON claims noise levels as low as 29.9 dB(A).
The physical design is also aimed at avoiding some of the clearance problems associated with larger CPU coolers. The offset single-tower layout moves the heatsink away from the memory area, giving users more room to install tall-profile RAM.
RGB lighting is integrated into both fans, with full-illumination ARGB effects and motherboard synchronization support for ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, and ASRock systems. A magnetic top cover can also be removed tool-free, giving the cooler a cleaner look while making access to the top of the heatsink easier.
XERON will sell the NEX A61 ARGB in black and white finishes. The black version has an MSRP of $34.99, while the white model is priced at $36.99. With dual fans, ARGB lighting, broad Intel and AMD compatibility, and a design focused on memory clearance, the NEX A61 ARGB is positioned as a low-cost option for users building gaming PCs around current desktop processors.
