CHUWI is pushing its mini PC lineup further into local AI with the UniBox AI495 Pro, a compact system that combines AMD’s latest Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor with up to 192GB of unified memory. The 2.9-liter machine is designed for workloads that normally demand much larger systems, including running large language models locally.
The UniBox AI495 Pro uses a 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture. The processor reaches up to 5.2 GHz and includes a Radeon 8065S integrated GPU with 40 RDNA 3.5 Compute Units. The platform can deliver up to 131 AI TOPS, giving the small system a clear focus on AI inference and other compute-heavy workloads.
Memory is where CHUWI has made the biggest change compared with the previous UniBox AI395. The AI495 Pro supports up to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533 unified memory, with as much as 160GB available for the integrated Radeon graphics. This gives AI applications considerably more memory to work with than conventional integrated GPU systems. CHUWI says the configuration can handle local models with up to 300 billion parameters, depending on the model and quantization used.
CHUWI has not revealed the price or retail availability of the UniBox AI495 Pro yet. With several manufacturers now introducing Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 systems, CHUWI will need competitive pricing to make its compact workstation attractive to AI developers and power users.
