GTA V roleplay is moving closer to Rockstar Games’ official ecosystem. Rockstar Games has announced NoPixel V, a new roleplaying experience created in collaboration with the NoPixel team, with the project set to launch through the Rockstar Games Launcher. The closed beta is scheduled to begin on September 8, giving selected players and creators an early look at the new GTA V RP experience.
NoPixel has been one of the most recognizable names in the GTA roleplay community for years. Its servers have attracted streamers, content creators, and players who use Los Santos as a foundation for character-driven stories, businesses, jobs, and multiplayer interactions. NoPixel V takes that established concept and moves it toward a more official relationship with Rockstar Games.
The Rockstar Games Launcher integration is particularly important. GTA V roleplay has traditionally been associated with third-party platforms and communities, but NoPixel V will be accessible through Rockstar’s own PC launcher. That gives the project a much closer connection to the publisher behind Grand Theft Auto.

Rockstar Games has also been increasingly involved with the GTA roleplaying scene. The company acquired Cfx.re, the team behind the FiveM and RedM multiplayer modification platforms, in 2023. That move showed Rockstar was willing to work more closely with communities that had built large audiences around custom multiplayer experiences.
NoPixel V continues that direction while keeping the focus on GTA V roleplay. The project is being developed with the NoPixel team and includes changes intended to provide a fresh environment for players and creators.
- NoPixel V is being developed in collaboration with Rockstar Games
- The project is based on Grand Theft Auto V
- It will be available through the Rockstar Games Launcher
- The closed beta begins on September 8
- The experience focuses on multiplayer GTA V roleplay
- NoPixel is continuing its creator-focused roleplaying approach
The September beta will be the first major opportunity to see how NoPixel V works within Rockstar’s ecosystem. It could also give the GTA RP community a better idea of what changes have been made compared with the existing NoPixel experience.
The timing makes the announcement even more interesting. GTA V remains one of Rockstar’s biggest games, while Grand Theft Auto VI is approaching its own release window. Rather than leaving the GTA V roleplay community behind, NoPixel V gives creators another platform to continue producing stories and multiplayer content within Los Santos.

For players who have followed NoPixel over the years, the biggest question will be how the new version compares with the roleplay experience they already know. Rockstar’s involvement and the move to its official launcher could make NoPixel V easier to access while giving the project a more direct connection to the GTA ecosystem.
More information should arrive as the September 8 closed beta approaches. For now, NoPixel V looks set to give GTA V roleplay another major platform at a time when interest in Rockstar’s multiplayer games remains high.
