If you want desktop-level gaming hardware without making room for a large tower, Minisforum’s new 895D7 could be worth a look. The compact PC combines AMD’s 16-core Ryzen 9 8945HX processor with support for a desktop graphics card, and the higher-end configuration pairs it with a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB. Pricing starts at just $495 for the barebone version, while the RX 9060 XT configuration starts at $1,119.
The Minisforum 895D7 is built around AMD’s Ryzen 9 8945HX, part of the Dragon Range refresh family. The processor features 16 Zen 4 cores and 32 threads, while its integrated Radeon 610M graphics are intended for everyday workloads rather than serious gaming. Minisforum gets around that limitation by adding a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for a discrete GPU.
The Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB configuration gives the system considerably more gaming capability than most compact PCs using integrated graphics. AMD positions the GPU for 1440p gaming, although performance will vary depending on the game, settings, and other system components. Minisforum has also listed an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 option, but that configuration is currently unavailable.

Memory is handled through two SO-DIMM slots, with support for up to 96GB of DDR5 running at 5200 MT/s. Storage comes from two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots. Minisforum lists total storage support of up to 8TB, while the actual capacity will depend on the SSDs installed.
The 895D7 also uses a multi-sided airflow design to move air through the compact enclosure. At 8.47 liters, it is larger than many traditional mini PCs, but the additional space allows Minisforum to accommodate a Ryzen 9 processor with a much higher power target and a desktop-class graphics card.
The entry-level barebone model costs $495, giving buyers a relatively low starting point if they already have compatible memory, storage, and graphics hardware. The Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB configuration starts at $1,119, with Minisforum also offering a version equipped with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

For users building a small gaming PC, the 895D7 offers a different approach from the usual mini-PC formula. Instead of relying on integrated graphics, Minisforum has designed the system around a replaceable desktop GPU and a high-core-count AMD processor. That makes the 895D7 particularly interesting for buyers who want a smaller gaming machine but do not want to give up discrete graphics.
