Razer is giving its long-running Naga Gaming Mouse a more flexible design with the new Naga V3 Pro. Instead of limiting the mouse to the traditional MMO-focused 12-button layout, the latest model lets users swap between three magnetic side plates depending on the game they are playing. The result is a gaming mouse designed to cover everything from MMOs and MOBAs to battle royale and FPS games without requiring a different peripheral for each genre.
The Naga V3 Pro continues the design approach that has made the Naga family popular since its introduction in 2009. The 12-button thumb grid remains available for MMO players who need quick access to abilities, macros, and commands, but users can now replace it with a six-button plate for games such as MOBAs and battle royale titles. There is also a two-button option aimed at FPS games and everyday desktop use.
The three side plates attach magnetically and can be changed without tools. This gives users a way to alter the mouse’s control layout in seconds rather than committing to one button arrangement. Razer is also bringing back the ring finger button, which was removed from the Naga V2 Pro following complaints about accidental presses. On the Naga V3 Pro, the button has a lockable design, allowing users to enable it when needed or disable it when it could get in the way.
The mouse also includes two quick-access buttons next to the left mouse button. These can be assigned to different functions, including DPI adjustment and other commands. Razer has added double-shot molded keys to the side buttons, while five onboard memory profiles can store layouts, macros, and DPI settings. This means different configurations can be saved for individual games and switched without rebuilding the setup.
Scroll control has also received an update. The Naga V3 Pro uses Razer’s HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, which supports several operating modes. Standard Tactile mode provides 24-step scrolling, while Precision Tactile mode increases the resolution to 48 steps. The latter is intended for situations where smaller scroll movements are useful, such as cycling through abilities, weapons, menus, and inventory items.
The wheel can also operate in Free-Spin mode for faster scrolling. Smart-Reel mode can automatically change between tactile and free-spin operation depending on how quickly the wheel is turned. These options can be configured through Razer Synapse.
For tracking, the Naga V3 Pro uses Razer’s Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3. The sensor supports up to 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS tracking, and 90 G acceleration. Razer’s Frame Sync technology is included to synchronize sensor scanning with the display, with the goal of reducing the delay between mouse movement and the resulting action.
The mouse is equipped with Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4, which are rated for more than 100 million clicks. Razer says the switches use 12% less actuation force than the previous generation, while retaining the optical design used to reduce the possibility of traditional mechanical switch issues.
Wireless connectivity comes through Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, with the company rating the Naga V3 Pro for up to 155 hours of battery life. Bluetooth provides a longer claimed runtime of up to 280 hours. Users can also connect the mouse through USB Type-C and continue using it while charging.
For users who want a wireless charging setup, the Naga V3 Pro supports the Razer HyperFlux V2 Charging System and Mouse Dock Pro. Both accessories are sold separately.

The Razer Naga V3 Pro is aimed at players who move between several game genres but still want access to a large number of programmable controls when needed. Its 12-button layout keeps the traditional Naga experience intact, while the smaller side plates make the mouse more practical for games that do not require a large thumb grid. Combined with the Focus Pro 50K sensor, Gen-4 optical switches, HyperSpeed Wireless, and long battery life, Razer has updated the Naga platform without moving too far away from the design that made it popular in the first place.
