GameSir has introduced the Tarantula 8K PC Wired Esports Controller, a new controller designed specifically for PC gamers who prioritize low latency and responsive controls. The latest addition to the company’s gaming peripheral lineup combines an 8000Hz polling rate, magnetic thumbsticks, Hall Effect triggers, and multiple programmable buttons in a lightweight wired design.
The controller is available now through the official GameSir website for £79.99 / $69.99, while Amazon availability is expected at a later date.

Designed exclusively for PC gaming, the Tarantula 8K PC uses a wired USB-C connection capable of delivering an 8000Hz polling rate with a claimed 0.25ms response time. The high polling rate allows the controller to communicate with the PC more frequently, helping reduce input delay during competitive games where quick reactions can make a difference.

GameSir has introduced its second-generation Mag-Res TMR thumbsticks, combining magnetic sensing technology with smoother movement for improved precision and control. The contactless design reduces mechanical wear inside the mechanism and is built to minimize the chances of stick drift over long-term use.

GameSir has also equipped the controller with Hall Effect analog triggers featuring Micro Switch trigger stops. Players can switch between full analog trigger travel for racing games and shorter trigger activation for shooters and action titles. The controller also includes Micro Switch ABXY buttons, providing quicker actuation and tactile feedback compared to traditional membrane buttons.
Customization is another major part of the Tarantula 8K PC. The controller features nine fully remappable macro buttons, including two lockable rear buttons, two additional mini bumpers, and five front-mounted buttons. Each programmable button supports up to 32-step macro recording, allowing players to create custom commands for different games.

A built-in six-axis gyroscope adds motion controls in supported titles, while the GameSir Connect software allows users to adjust button mapping, stick sensitivity, trigger settings, dead zones, RGB lighting effects, and save multiple controller profiles.
Despite offering several gaming-focused features, the Tarantula 8K PC weighs only 180 grams. GameSir achieved the lower weight by removing vibration motors and the internal battery, creating a controller designed for long gaming sessions with less hand fatigue.
The controller also features laser-engraved textured grips for a secure hold and includes dynamic RGB lighting with multiple lighting modes such as solid colors, breathing effects, rainbow patterns, and animated effects.
Additional features include a tactile D-pad, adjustable turbo mode, onboard profile switching, trigger calibration, joystick dead zone adjustment, a 3.5mm headset jack, and a detachable USB-C cable.
