Creality has officially released the Creality Pika, its new AI-powered portable 3D scanner, following its introduction during the company’s 12th Anniversary AI Ecosystem launch event. The device is now available through the official Creality Store with a limited-time 10% launch discount from its regular retail price of $699. The promotional offer will remain available for 20 days, allowing creators and professionals to purchase the scanner at a lower price.
The Creality Pika is designed to make 3D scanning more accessible by combining portability with advanced scanning technology. Weighing only 260 grams and measuring 100 × 60 × 35 mm, the scanner is compact enough to fit into a pocket or small bag, making it suitable for users who need to scan objects outside of a traditional workspace. Unlike larger desktop scanners that require a fixed setup and computer connection, Pika can be used almost anywhere thanks to its built-in display, removable batteries, and mobile device support.

A 3-inch touchscreen allows users to preview scans and confirm captured data directly on the scanner without relying on an external monitor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.0, enabling both wireless and wired workflows. The scanner is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, allowing users to scan using either a PC or a smartphone depending on their workflow.
Creality has equipped the Pika with two different optical scanning systems to handle a wide range of objects. The 7-line parallel blue laser is designed for scanning smaller items that require fine detail. It delivers scanning accuracy of up to 0.03 mm and supports objects as small as 10 × 10 × 10 mm. For larger objects, full-color scans, and even human subjects, the scanner switches to its NIR structured light system, offering up to 0.1 mm accuracy with a scanning distance of up to 1,000 mm.

The company also says the scanner can capture black and metallic surfaces without using scanning spray, reducing preparation time and making the scanning process more convenient for different types of materials.
Artificial intelligence plays a major role in simplifying post-processing. Marker-free laser alignment reduces setup time, while the scanner’s global shutter, intelligent stabilization, and infrared single-frame 3D imaging help maintain tracking during movement. Performance reaches up to 110 FPS in PC line-laser mode and 40 FPS when connected to a smartphone.

The accompanying CrealityScan software includes AI-powered tools such as AI Re-texturing, AI Hole Filling, and AI Human Body Completion. One of the software’s unique capabilities is generating a complete human body model using a face scan combined with body photographs, reducing the amount of manual editing required before exporting a finished model.
For users working outdoors, the scanner includes optical filters that improve scanning reliability under bright lighting conditions. According to Creality, the blue laser can operate in environments with up to 110,000 lux of ambient light, while the NIR structured light system supports up to 80,000 lux with the filter installed. The scanner also uses a Class I eye-safe laser and supports operating temperatures ranging from -10°C to 40°C.

Beyond traditional mesh generation, the Creality Pika also supports Gaussian Splatting, allowing scanned objects to preserve more realistic textures, colors, and spatial details. This makes the scanner suitable for digital presentations, product showcases, social media content, and archival projects in addition to 3D printing applications.
Completed scans can be exported in STL, OBJ, PLY, and ASC formats, making them compatible with many popular 3D modeling and printing applications. Creality has also confirmed that CrealityScan will continue receiving over-the-air updates, bringing additional features and improvements over time.
