Valkyrie Introduces Cyber68 Aluminum Keyboard With Analog Optical Switches and 16KHz Polling

Valkyrie (VK) has officially announced the Cyber68, its first gaming keyboard built with a full aluminum chassis. The new keyboard introduces a different approach compared to many of today’s gaming keyboards by using analog optical switches instead of conventional mechanical switches or Hall Effect magnetic switches. The company has confirmed that more information about the keyboard will be shared during ChinaJoy 2026, where visitors will get a closer look at the new model.

Gaming keyboards with magnetic switches have become increasingly common over the past year, especially among competitive players looking for features such as Rapid Trigger and adjustable actuation. With the Cyber68, Valkyrie is taking a different direction by adopting analog optical switch technology. According to the company, the keyboard uses a U-shaped reflective optical sensing system that delivers Rapid Trigger accuracy down to 0.01mm. This allows the keyboard to detect even very small key movements, helping improve responsiveness in games that require fast and repeated inputs.

The Cyber68 also supports a polling rate of up to 16,000Hz, allowing it to communicate with the PC more frequently and reduce the delay between a key press and its registration. While many gaming keyboards currently offer polling rates of 1,000Hz or 8,000Hz, Valkyrie’s latest model raises the bar with an even higher 16,000Hz polling rate.

The Cyber68 also supports hot-swappable switches, allowing users to replace compatible switches without soldering. This provides flexibility for users who prefer different switch characteristics or want to replace switches over time without purchasing a completely new keyboard.

Valkyrie has also focused on the keyboard’s construction. The Cyber68 features a CNC-machined aluminum case, giving it a more durable and premium feel compared to plastic alternatives. In addition, the company says genuine carbon fiber materials have been incorporated into the design, adding another layer of durability while keeping the keyboard visually distinct.

Although Valkyrie has confirmed several key specifications, important details such as the keyboard layout, RGB lighting features, connectivity options, software support, pricing, and launch date have not yet been disclosed. Those announcements are expected during ChinaJoy 2026, where the company plans to reveal the Cyber68 in greater detail.
