Lemokey has released its new LK7-M96 mechanical keyboard, offering a tri-mode design and features aimed at both gamers and keyboard enthusiasts. The overall layout shares similarities with last year’s SKN Pixiu 96 Ultra, but the LK7-M96 updates the color scheme with black, white, silver, and gray, creating a cleaner, more modern look.
The keyboard features a CNC-machined aluminum alloy body and a medium-clean frame (MCL) bottomless floating structure, which allows users to switch between Gasket and Top fixed modes for a customized typing experience. A customizable pixel matrix board at the bottom adds flexibility for users who want to modify or personalize their setup.
Based on ZMK open-source firmware, the LK7-M96 supports tri-mode connectivity and achieves an 8kHz polling rate, ensuring fast response times for gaming or productivity tasks. The keyboard is powered by a 6000mAh lithium cobalt battery that can provide up to 1142 hours of usage, making it suitable for extended sessions without frequent charging.
The LK7-M96 uses linear Frost switches with a nylon bottom shell, paired with a PCB that supports hot-swappable HoS mounts. This allows users to easily swap switches without soldering. Seven layers of sound-absorbing material help reduce typing noise, while single-key ARGB and dual-zone lighting effects provide options for visual customization. Advanced key functions with LKP (SOCD) support ensure accurate keypress handling, making the keyboard responsive for both gaming and general use.
