The new Keyboard series combines a modern Gasket-mounted design with functional features, emphasizing typing comfort and aesthetic appeal.
The V108 keyboards feature a Gasket structure, which is designed to provide a softer typing experience and reduce vibration compared to traditional mounting styles. Along with the Gasket design, VGN has included ambient lighting along the sides of the keyboard. This lighting adds a subtle glow to workspaces or gaming setups without overwhelming the user with good effects.
VGN offers a range of themed keycap options in this series. The “Ink Landscape,” “Distant Mountains in Blue,” “First Snow in Clear Sky,” and “Flower Breeze” editions use PBT double-shot injection molding, a method that increases durability and prevents the keycaps from wearing out or becoming shiny over time. The “Stone Clouds” variant also uses PBT double-shot keycaps, with dye-sublimation applied to the ESC key to provide a unique visual accent. These design choices highlight VGN’s focus on both aesthetics and long-term usability.
Under the hood, the V108 series supports a 1kHz polling rate, ensuring responsive input for both gaming and productivity tasks. Users can choose between several switch types, including Power Gold, Cow, Light Sound, and Arctic Fox switches. The Power Gold version is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, while the Cow, Light Sound, and Arctic Fox versions feature a larger 10000mAh battery, offering extended wireless usage. The differences in battery capacity indicate that some variants are optimized for longer sessions without frequent charging.
