KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS has released Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on PC, bringing the sequel to both Valve Corporation’s Steam and the Epic Games storefronts. The PC version arrives in collaboration with Nixxes Software, a studio known for handling platform adaptations, and includes a set of technical features aimed at modern hardware.
Set after the events of the first game, the sequel follows Sam Porter Bridges as he works with the DRAWBRIDGE organization to expand the Chiral Network into Australia. The structure remains centered on traversal, cargo management, and environmental awareness, while combat and stealth systems return with expanded options. Players must navigate terrain affected by hazards such as sandstorms, earthquakes, and forest fires, alongside the ongoing threat of Timefall.
The Social Strand System is again part of the core design. Player-built structures and shared pathways appear across connected worlds, allowing indirect cooperation without direct interaction. This system continues to shape progression by reducing friction in traversal and resource management over time.

On PC, the game includes support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS, along with frame generation options depending on hardware compatibility. Uncapped frame rates and a wide set of graphical settings allow users to scale performance across different systems. Ultrawide support is included, with 32:9 gameplay and 21:9 cutscenes, while input options cover both mouse and keyboard and full DualSense controller functionality, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
High-end systems can enable ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion through additional settings. These features improve lighting accuracy and surface detail in certain scenes but remain optional and separate from the recommended system requirements.
A new difficulty setting titled “to the wilder” has been added, offering a more demanding experience with limited resources and stronger enemy presence. The PC version also introduces a VR training area, “Trapped in a Strange Realm,” where players can revisit key encounters. Additional cosmetic items and Photo Mode updates, including new character elements, are included as part of the package.

Players who connect a PlayStation account on PC can access a PlayStation overlay, manage friends lists, and earn trophies, along with unlocking themed cosmetic rewards. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is now available in Standard and Digital Deluxe editions on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
