Epomaker has announced the HE30, a compact one-handed gaming keyboard designed for competitive players who prioritize mobility and precise input control. The EPOMAKER HE30 adopts a 30% layout and focuses on essential keys used in FPS and MOBA titles, while freeing up desk space for extended mouse movement. With its lightweight construction and portable design, the HE30 targets esports players who travel frequently or prefer a minimal desktop setup.

The HE30 features a 36-key configuration that retains the F-row and expands the commonly used TGB area, covering movement and skill inputs found in most competitive games. The reduced footprint allows players, particularly those using low mouse sensitivity, to move their mouse freely without interference from a full-size keyboard. A detachable wrist strap is included, enabling users to attach the device to a backpack or gear bag for easier transport between gaming sessions or events.
The keyboard integrates Hall effect switches with adjustable actuation. Users can fine-tune the trigger point down to 0.01 mm, allowing for highly responsive inputs. Movement keys can be set to actuate at very shallow distances for faster reactions, while other keys can be configured with deeper actuation to help reduce accidental presses. This flexibility provides a tailored input experience depending on the game or playstyle.

The HE30 also supports DKS and Snap Key (SOCD) functionality. With SOCD enabled, the keyboard prioritizes the most recent opposite directional input, helping prevent conflicting commands during rapid directional changes. This can be particularly useful in fast-paced competitive scenarios where precise movement is critical.
All 36 keys are fully programmable through a web-based interface, allowing macro assignments, remapping, and quick configuration layer switching. This makes it easier for users to adapt the keypad to different genres or control schemes without installing complex software.

In terms of construction, the HE30 uses a tray-mounted structure and comes equipped with factory-lubed Aurora switches. A multi-layer noise reduction design aims to provide smoother keystrokes and controlled acoustics during extended sessions. The PBT keycaps are designed to resist wear and oil buildup, supporting long-term durability. RGB lighting is integrated through honeycomb-style light guides, with both backlighting and side light strips offering independent control. The keyboard is available in Black & Orange and White & Purple color options.
The Epomaker HE30 is now available via the company’s official website, along with its Amazon and AliExpress storefronts. The keyboard is priced at $49.99 on the official site, positioning it as an accessible option for gamers seeking Hall effect technology in a compact form factor.
