Take-Two Interactive has published its third-quarter financial results, offering new details on Grand Theft Auto VI while confirming another major sales milestone for Grand Theft Auto V. The company reported stronger-than-expected net bookings and reaffirmed its release plans for Rockstar Games’ next flagship title.
During the earnings call and in comments to The Game Business, CEO Strauss Zelnick said Grand Theft Auto VI remains scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. He added that players can expect additional marketing activity during Summer 2026. Zelnick noted that publicly outlining marketing timing is unusual for him, as promotional announcements are typically handled by the company’s publishing labels.
Recent company statements have described the November 2026 date as firm compared to the earlier 2025 target. Previous remarks from management also indicated a high level of confidence that the game would meet its revised schedule. Current financial projections continue to support a launch within this fiscal period.

Take-Two also confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V has now sold 225 million copies worldwide since its 2013 debut. Total lifetime sales for the Grand Theft Auto franchise have reached 465 million units, with GTA V representing nearly half of that figure. Revenue from GTA Online increased 27 percent year over year, reflecting continued player engagement.
For the quarter, Take-Two reported $1.76 billion in net bookings, surpassing its $1.6 billion forecast.
Separately, Rockstar Games remains involved in a labor dispute following the dismissal of 31 workers in the UK and three in Canada. A UK judge recently denied interim pay for the affected employees. The legal case is ongoing.
