GMKtec has officially announced the NucBox K13, a new ultra-compact mini PC designed for AI computing, creative workloads, and everyday desktop use. The system is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 7 256V processor from the Lunar Lake family and represents a new generation of hardware in GMKtec’s small form factor lineup. Along with updated internal architecture, the NucBox K13 also introduces a refreshed industrial design aimed at improving space efficiency and thermal performance.
At the center of the NucBox K13 is the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor, built using TSMC’s N3B process technology. The chip features 8 cores and 8 threads, with boost clock speeds reaching up to 4.8 GHz. Intel Smart Cache is included to help manage workloads more efficiently, balancing performance and power consumption for sustained use. GMKtec positions the K13 as a compact workstation that combines CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration in a single system.
For graphics and AI workloads, the NucBox K13 integrates Intel Arc 140V graphics capable of delivering up to 64 TOPS of AI performance. This is paired with Intel AI Boost NPU hardware that adds up to 47 TOPS, bringing total peak AI throughput to 115 TOPS using Int8 operations. This setup allows the system to handle local AI inference, automation tasks, and parallel workloads without relying solely on cloud-based processing. GMKtec also highlights support for Clawdbot deployment, enabling the mini PC to operate as an always-on local AI agent for scripting and automated workflows.
Despite its small size, the NucBox K13 offers a wide range of expansion and connectivity options. The chassis measures 182 × 88 × 33.2 mm, making it suitable for desks with limited space or behind-monitor installations. Memory is provided by 16 GB of LPDDR5X, integrated directly on the platform and running at speeds of up to 8533 MT/s. Storage expansion is handled through dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 slots, with support for up to 16 TB of total SSD capacity.
Display support is another key focus of the system. The NucBox K13 can drive up to three 4K displays simultaneously through one HDMI 2.1 port and two USB4 full-function ports. The USB4 ports support up to 40 Gbps bandwidth, DisplayPort 1.4 output, and power delivery up to 100 W, making them suitable for high-resolution monitors and external peripherals.
Wired and wireless connectivity are also updated compared to previous GMKtec models. The mini PC includes a 5 Gbps Ethernet port, marking the first time this level of wired networking has appeared in GMKtec’s mini PC range. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 6E with speeds up to 2.4 Gbps and Bluetooth 5.2 for peripheral and device connections.
The front I/O panel includes a power button, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. On the rear, users will find a USB 2.0 port, HDMI 2.1, two USB4 ports, a 5 Gbps LAN port, another 3.5 mm audio jack, and a DC input rated at 19 V and 120 W.
GMKtec has confirmed that the NucBox K13 is now available through its official global website. The configuration with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD is priced at $669.99, while the 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD model is listed at $719.99. Both configurations are currently offered below their stated MSRP, positioning the NucBox K13 as a competitive option in the growing market for Lunar Lake-based mini PCs with integrated AI acceleration.
