Olares has announced its first major product, Olares One, a personal AI cloud device built to give users access to advanced computing power while keeping data stored locally. The company, which focuses on developing open and local AI solutions, also confirmed that it has secured $45 million in Series A funding led by SIG. This investment supports the company’s plans to bring local AI computing to individual users, professionals, and businesses seeking greater control over their data.
The launch of Olares One marks a significant step for the company. Designed for AI creators, developers, and anyone working with heavy workloads, the device combines high-performance hardware with an efficient desktop-sized body. Olares One features an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Mobile GPU equipped with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory, an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, and 96 GB of RAM. This configuration offers processing strength typically found in larger systems, giving users the ability to run demanding workloads directly from their own device.
Founder Peng Peng explained that the company’s goal is to bring AI capabilities closer to individuals and businesses by enabling them to use local resources without relying on external cloud services. According to Peng, the system gives users the confidence to run advanced models while maintaining control over their data. By combining powerful hardware with an open ecosystem, Olares aims to reduce dependency on third-party platforms and keep data in the user’s hands.
A core part of the Olares One experience is Olares OS, the company’s open-source personal cloud operating system. The OS is built to provide easy access to AI tools and applications through a one-click Olares Market. The marketplace allows users to deploy AI models, utilities, and services without requiring technical knowledge. This approach is intended to make advanced computing accessible to a wider audience, including small businesses, educators, developers, and home users.
