MSI has officially launched the Forge GK300 Wireless, a tri-mode mechanical keyboard designed for users seeking flexibility and comfort in a compact form. The new keyboard offers wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity, ensuring compatibility with both Windows and macOS systems. It is now available in China at a starting price of 199 yuan, which roughly converts to around $28.
The Forge GK300 Wireless adopts an 88-key tenkeyless (TKL) layout that helps save desk space while retaining all essential keys for productivity and gaming. This layout appeals to users who prefer a clean and compact setup without sacrificing functionality. The keyboard’s black-and-red color theme matches MSI’s familiar design language, offering a consistent look with the company’s gaming laptops and accessories.

MSI provides two mechanical switch options for the Forge GK300 Wireless: linear red and tactile blue. The red switches offer a smooth keypress with an actuation force of 45±10gf and an actuation distance of 1.8±0.4mm, making them suitable for both typing and gaming. The blue switches provide a more tactile response, requiring a slightly higher force of 50±10gf and a 1.9±0.5mm actuation distance. Both types feature a total key travel of 4.0±0.5mm, ensuring a balanced and reliable feel across all keys.
The keyboard uses a gasket-mounted structure, a design that helps reduce vibration and improve overall typing comfort. MSI has included five layers of sound-dampening materials, consisting of a PC positioning board, mid-plate foam, PET film, bottom foam, and a silicone base. This layered construction helps to produce a softer keypress sound and minimizes echo, enhancing the typing experience for both casual and professional use.

For durability, the Forge GK300 Wireless features double-shot PBT keycaps, which are known for their resistance to wear and fading. This ensures that the legends remain clear even after long-term use. The keyboard also includes customizable RGB lighting with 16 dynamic lighting effects, allowing users to adjust brightness and patterns through MSI’s web-based customization platform.
Powering the keyboard is a 3600mAh rechargeable battery, which supports extended wireless use. The inclusion of a built-in compartment for the 2.4GHz receiver adds a practical touch, helping users keep their setup organized when on the move.
With its combination of tri-mode connectivity, durable construction, and compact TKL layout, the MSI Forge GK300 Wireless offers a balanced mix of design and usability. Priced competitively for its feature set, it aims to deliver reliable performance for both everyday users and gaming enthusiasts in the wireless mechanical keyboard market.
