REDMAGIC, known for its gaming devices, revealed new smartphone cooling solutions at the REDMAGIC Gaming and Liquid Cooling Technology Conference in Shenzhen. The company presented the first mass-produced liquid cooling system for smartphones, along with its latest air-cooling system, Turbo Fan 4.0, aimed at maintaining performance during extended gaming sessions.
The liquid cooling system uses a fluorinated coolant that remains stable in temperatures from -40°C to 70°C, offering consistent heat management. To fit the system into a compact smartphone, REDMAGIC focused on miniaturization, durability, and anti-freeze performance. The micropump ensures smooth fluid circulation in a slim design, while micro-scale flow channels maintain low-resistance coolant movement. The system also passed tens of thousands of drop tests thanks to an anti-puncture membrane and specialized bonding process.
Turbo Fan 4.0 provides advanced air-cooling with a fan spinning up to 24,000 rpm and a large airflow duct. It combines independent, channel-based, and composite cooling methods to remove heat efficiently. The system is also IPX8-rated for dust and water resistance, supporting reliable performance during everyday use.
The REDMAGIC Astra Gaming Tablet demonstrates the benefits of the new cooling solutions. Co-developed with CrossFire Mobile, the device delivers 165Hz gameplay with improved visual details, environmental lighting, and smooth player interactions. The collaboration helped reduce in-game crashes and disconnections, making the devices suitable for competitive esports.
REDMAGIC smartphones are now official devices for six major esports leagues in China, including the CrossFire Mobile Pro League, Call of Duty Mobile Masters, and League of Legends Mobile Super League. This adoption reflects the reliability and performance of REDMAGIC devices in professional gaming environments.
The upcoming REDMAGIC 11 Pro series will continue these improvements. Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, it features a dual-track cooling system that integrates air and liquid cooling. The device supports over 200 games at 2K resolution and 144Hz frame rates, and can sustain 90 FPS for 120 minutes under high graphics settings, ensuring consistent performance during extended gaming sessions.
