SanDisk Expands Storage Options for ASUS ROG Xbox Ally Series

SanDisk has announced new licensed storage products for ASUS’ ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally handheld gaming devices. The range includes ROG-branded SanDisk microSD cards, now available for pre-order, and the WD_BLACK SN7100X NVMe SSD, designed for both handhelds and PCs. Both products carry official Designed for Xbox certification to ensure compatibility with Microsoft’s handheld gaming ecosystem.

The SanDisk microSD cards will be available in 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB models. With read speeds rated at up to 200 MB/s, the cards enable direct playback of installed games, offering storage for up to 50 titles. Built for portability, they feature resistance to drops, shocks, and X-rays, making them suitable for on-the-go use. SanDisk backs the cards with a limited lifetime warranty. Pricing starts at $69.99 for the 512 GB model, $149.99 for the 1 TB, and $299.99 for the 2 TB.

For players seeking higher capacity and faster performance, the WD_BLACK SN7100X NVMe SSD will be available in 2 TB and 4 TB options. The 2 TB version is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 7,250 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,900 MB/s. The drive uses a DRAM-less PCIe Gen4x4 controller with SanDisk TLC 3D CBA NAND technology, balancing speed with efficiency for handheld and laptop platforms. The SSDs are priced at $159.99 for 2 TB and $279.99 for 4 TB.

Susan Park, Vice President at SanDisk, stated that the company’s priority is to deliver certified solutions that allow players to focus on the gaming experience without concerns over storage limitations. As part of the launch, the WD_BLACK SN7100X SSD will also include a one-month trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC users.

With storage demands for modern titles continuing to rise, SanDisk’s new lineup provides ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally users with scalable options to manage expanding game libraries while maintaining compatibility and performance standards.
