GAMEMAX has officially released the LION CORE Platinum series power supply, positioned as the first model to feature a limited lifetime warranty. The PSU line is offered in 1000W and 1200W configurations, targeting users building high-performance systems that require reliable power delivery and compatibility with the latest hardware standards.
The LION CORE Platinum follows a fully modular design, allowing users to connect only the cables needed for their builds. It complies with the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 specifications, which makes it suitable for powering modern graphics cards and processors. To meet future hardware requirements, the PSU is equipped with a native 12V-2×6 connector, reducing the need for adapters when connecting next-generation GPUs.
On the efficiency front, the unit carries certifications from both 80 PLUS Platinum and Cybentics Platinum, ensuring stable power conversion across different load conditions. Cooling is provided by a 135mm turbo axial fan with support for intelligent 0dB operation, enabling fanless operation under lighter loads. The fan and overall acoustic performance are further validated by a Cybentics A+ noise level certification.
In terms of build quality, GAMEMAX has equipped the LION CORE Platinum with all-Japanese 105℃ capacitors, known for their durability in demanding conditions. The MPS1213 control chip manages the LLC resonant circuit, while voltage fluctuations are kept within 0.5% to maintain consistent stability. The +12V rail benefits from a dual-magnetic flat copper inductor, a design intended to improve efficiency and reliability under sustained high loads.
The exterior measures 160mm in length and is designed with a brushed aluminum alloy side panel, which includes integrated ARGB lighting. This combination adds durability and allows system builders to align the PSU with customized lighting setups.
Earlier this month, GAMEMAX presented the LION CORE Platinum at IFA 2025, where the company displayed several prototype side panels in different colors. The retail version will ship with the aluminum finish as standard, while additional customization options may follow depending on market feedback.
The LION CORE Platinum marks a significant step for GAMEMAX, both in terms of warranty coverage and compliance with the latest platform requirements. While pricing and regional availability have not yet been confirmed, the product is expected to reach global markets in the coming months.
