Glorious, a brand recognized for its mechanical and Hall effect keyboards, has announced the GMBK 75% gaming keyboard. The new model takes a different approach by moving away from mechanical switches and opting for membrane technology. This design choice lowers production costs but still retains features commonly found on higher-end keyboards.
The GMBK 75% uses cross-shaped stems compatible with standard MX keycaps. This makes it possible for users to replace the stock set with aftermarket options, a level of customization rarely seen on membrane-based products. The keyboard also features plate-mounted stabilizers and carries an IP57 rating, offering dust and water resistance, which is unusual in the gaming keyboard segment.
Design and Features
Out of the box, the GMBK 75% ships with shine-through ABS keycaps coated for durability. While Glorious has not officially confirmed the keycap profile, it closely resembles OEM. The board includes 10-zone RGB backlighting, customizable through the Glorious Core software.

The keyboard connects via a detachable USB Type-C cable, which improves repairability and makes transport more convenient. It does not offer wireless connectivity, but the detachable cable ensures easier replacements compared to permanently attached cords.
In terms of construction, the GMBK 75% is built entirely from plastic and weighs 540 g, significantly lighter than most mechanical boards, which often exceed one kilogram. A rotary knob is integrated into the design, offering additional functionality that is usually reserved for more expensive models.
Performance and Price
The keyboard supports a 1 kHz polling rate, providing fast response times for gaming. Glorious has not confirmed full N-key rollover, but the polling rate should be sufficient for most users.

The GMBK 75% launches at a retail price of $59.99. This positions it in the same range as entry-level mechanical keyboards, though it offers features such as IP57 resistance and MX keycap compatibility that are not typically found in other membrane options at this price.
Glorious aims the GMBK 75% at the entry-level gaming market, combining affordability with durability and customization support. The release highlights a shift in the company’s approach, making its products accessible to a wider audience while still carrying features gamers often expect in higher-priced models.
