Colorful Unveils iGame Shadow II DDR5 Memory for AMD Ryzen 9000 Series

Colorful Technology Company Limited has introduced the iGame Shadow II DDR5 memory series, aimed at supporting the performance requirements of AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 9000 desktop processors. This new generation builds on the original iGame Shadow series with faster speeds, improved latency, and refined support for overclocking.

The iGame Shadow II flagship kits feature DDR5-6400 memory modules with CL28 latency. They are equipped with support for both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0 profiles, enabling quick setup and compatibility across a wide range of systems. The modules are rated to operate at 1.4V, slightly below the 1.45V typically seen in high-frequency DDR5 kits. This lower voltage helps maintain system stability while still offering overclocking potential for enthusiasts.

In terms of design, Colorful has opted for a heat sink inspired by traditional ink wash painting, a style rooted in East Asian art. The memory modules carry a brushed finish with the “Shadow” character etched on the surface. RGB lighting with a soft breathing effect and an illuminated iGame logo further enhance the appearance. The kits will be available in both black and white finishes, allowing builders to match different system aesthetics.

Beyond high-speed configurations for gaming systems, the iGame Shadow II series also includes high-capacity kits for professional workloads. Among these is a 96 GB (2x 48 GB) option, designed for tasks requiring large memory reserves such as video editing, 3D rendering, and software development.

Colorful confirmed that the first product to reach the market will be the DDR5-6000 CL28 kit in a 2x 24 GB (48 GB) configuration. Other capacities and speed options are expected to follow in future releases.

The iGame Shadow II series continues Colorful’s focus on combining memory performance with distinctive visual design, aiming to meet the needs of both gamers and professional users preparing for next-generation AMD platforms.
