Razer Announces DeathAdder V4 Pro With Upgraded Wireless Technology and Refined Ergonomics

Razer has introduced the DeathAdder V4 Pro, the newest addition to its long-running DeathAdder series of mice. With more than 20 million units sold globally, the DeathAdder has built a reputation for ergonomic design and reliable performance in competitive gaming. The V4 Pro brings several hardware upgrades and refinements developed in collaboration with esports professionals.

Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 offers a more stable connection with 37% lower latency compared to the previous version and improves power efficiency by over 60%. The mouse supports polling rates up to 8000 Hz in both wired and wireless modes, ensuring responsive performance during fast-paced gaming. Battery life can reach up to 150 hours at a 1000 Hz polling rate.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro also introduces the company’s first Optical Scroll Wheel. Built for esports use, it provides more consistent feedback and durability compared to mechanical scroll wheels. The updated Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4 deliver a crisp click response and are rated for up to 100 million clicks, increasing reliability for long-term use.

Inside, the Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2 powers tracking with a maximum sensitivity of 45,000 DPI, 900 IPS, and 85 G acceleration. The sensor offers 99.8% resolution accuracy and includes advanced features like Dynamic Sensitivity, Mouse Rotation, and Sensitivity Matcher, giving users more control over their settings.

The mouse weighs 56 grams in black and 57 grams in white, making it one of the lightest ergonomic wireless mice available. The signature DeathAdder shape has been slightly adjusted to improve comfort and support during extended sessions. Larger PTFE feet enhance glide across different surfaces, while redesigned split side buttons help prevent accidental presses.

Razer has incorporated sustainability into the design by using over 67% bio-based and recycled materials. Reinforced side walls and a new internal structure maintain durability while keeping the weight low.

Professional players contributed to the development of the DeathAdder V4 Pro. Among them was Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, a Counter-Strike veteran with multiple international titles. NiKo tested early prototypes in competition and worked directly with Razer’s engineers to refine the mouse’s balance, button feel, and handling.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro represents the latest evolution of a popular gaming mouse series, combining performance-focused upgrades with an emphasis on comfort and sustainability. It is designed for players seeking a lightweight, responsive, and durable mouse for competitive environments.
