At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), HYTE, a leading innovator in PC components and peripherals, introduced the THICC Q80 Trio, a powerful 360 mm version of its acclaimed THICC Q60 all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler. Set to launch in Q1 2025, the THICC Q80 Trio is now available for pre-order at a price of $319.99. The new cooler offers a substantial increase in cooling efficiency, thanks to its thicker design, and features HYTE’s advanced Nexus 2.0 software, which provides users with extensive customization options for their PC setup.
Enhanced Cooling Performance with Larger Heat Exchanger
The THICC Q80 Trio is designed to fit the HYTE Y70 and Y70 Touch Infinite cases precisely, while also maintaining broad compatibility with a wide range of other chassis. Its impressive 360 mm long and 52 mm thick heat exchanger maximizes cooling performance and efficiency, ensuring optimal heat dissipation for high-performance systems. The cooler also incorporates a larger second-generation copper cold plate, which features a revised liquid flow path to further enhance temperature regulation and improve socket compatibility.
New THICC FP12 Trio Fans Deliver Maximum Airflow
The THICC Q80 Trio comes pre-installed with HYTE’s new THICC FP12 Trio fans. These fans are engineered with fiberglass-reinforced liquid crystal polymer (LCP) materials, enabling them to provide up to 105.8 CFM of airflow and 8.14 mm H2O of static pressure. The fans feature an embedded thermal sensor for intelligent speed control, ensuring that the cooler adapts to the system’s cooling needs in real-time.
The THICC FP12 Trio fans also utilize a single-frame design, which ensures consistent airflow across all three fans, resulting in an uninterrupted aesthetic flow. Additionally, the design improves structural rigidity and simplifies connectivity, making installation and setup more straightforward.
Nexus 2.0 Software Brings Advanced Customization
The THICC Q80 Trio is equipped with a 5-inch, 720p 60 Hz Ultraslim IPS display mounted above the cold plate, offering users the ability to adjust the screen for the optimal viewing angle. The display is paired with a 42-pixel ARGB array, which provides users with vibrant, saturated color that enhances the visual appeal of their system.
The inclusion of HYTE’s revamped Nexus 2.0 software introduces a host of new features designed to enhance the user experience:
- Unlimited Screen Personalization: Users can personalize their display to show real-time performance data, integrate living media and music, display a multi-sensor readout, and switch between HD video, GIFs, and images.
- Advanced Cooling Control: The software allows for intelligent system-wide cooling control, supporting up to 36 daisy-chained fans. Users can also control all their fans through their motherboard’s PWM headers.
- Immersive RGB Lighting: Nexus 2.0 integrates with OpenRGB SDK, enabling users to synchronize RGB lighting effects across more than 1,800 compatible devices. The THICC Q80 Trio comes with an additional LS10 light strip to provide enhanced ambient RGB lighting.
Color Options and Customization
The THICC Q80 Trio will be available in two colors: Snow White and Pitch Black. The cooler is fully customizable via the HYTE Nexus 2.0 software, offering users a high degree of control over the system’s aesthetics and cooling performance.
