ZOTAC Launches GeForce RTX 5050 Series, Including Four Variants Targeting Mainstream Market

ZOTAC Gaming has officially introduced its GeForce RTX 5050 lineup, adding to its portfolio of mainstream desktop GPUs. This new series is built on NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture and is expected to target budget-conscious gamers and entry-level PC builders. The RTX 5050 series includes four distinct models: the RTX 5050 Solo, RTX 5050 Twin Edge, RTX 5050 Twin Edge OC, and RTX 5050 Twin Edge OC White Edition.

The base variant, RTX 5050 Solo, is designed with simplicity and cost-efficiency in mind. It features NVIDIA’s reference specifications, with a GPU boost clock of 2.51 GHz and memory speed of 20 Gbps using GDDR6 memory. The card uses a compact cooling solution consisting of an extruded aluminium heatsink and a single 70 mm fan. This design makes the Solo a suitable option for small form factor systems or entry-level builds. The card requires a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, which is standard across all four models.

ZOTAC has also developed three versions under the Twin Edge series, all equipped with dual-fan cooling and a more robust heatsink. The Twin Edge and Twin Edge OC variants feature an aluminium fin-stack heatsink paired with two 70 mm fans for improved thermal management compared to the Solo model. While the standard Twin Edge sticks to the reference boost clock of 2.51 GHz, the Twin Edge OC and OC White Edition offer a factory overclock, increasing the boost frequency to 2.602 GHz.

The Twin Edge OC White Edition carries the same specifications as the standard OC version but comes in an all-white color scheme to match themed PC builds. Aside from the color difference, the thermal and performance characteristics remain consistent. These models also retain the single 8-pin PCIe power connector design, ensuring compatibility with most modern power supplies.

ZOTAC has not yet disclosed pricing for the Twin Edge series. However, given that the Solo is expected to be priced around NVIDIA’s MSRP of $250, it is likely that the Twin Edge models will be positioned slightly higher in the pricing stack. Exact availability dates have not been shared, but the launch indicates an imminent arrival on the retail market.

The ZOTAC RTX 5050 series appears to be positioned for gamers seeking a balance between performance and affordability. With multiple cooling configurations and a modest power requirement, the lineup caters to both compact systems and users looking for factory-tuned performance. As retailers begin to list the cards, more specific details on regional pricing and launch bundles are expected to follow.
