Ubisoft has rolled out Update 1.0.7 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, introducing the highly requested New Game+ mode along with several gameplay enhancements. The patch is now live across all platforms.
The New Game+ mode allows players to start a fresh playthrough after completing the main story while keeping all their previously unlocked gear, skills, allies, and hideout upgrades. It can be accessed through the Memory Menu in the Animus once the journeys of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro are complete. Enemies are stronger in this mode, presenting tougher combat challenges for players.
Finishing a New Game+ run rewards players with Whisper of Gold and Dragon’s Gold, as well as two new weapons: a gold-plated Legendary Long Katana and a Legendary Katana, each with unique perk engravings.

The update also raises the level cap from 60 to 80, adding more difficult encounters with smarter enemy behavior. The Knowledge Rank system now extends to level 10, unlocking new abilities, passives, and combat options. Naoe and Yasuke’s skills have been expanded with new ranks, and mastery skill nodes have been updated.
The Forge can be upgraded to level 4, allowing players to enhance all weapons and gear to the new maximum level. To complement these changes, Ubisoft has added three new achievements and trophies:
- Enjoy the Ride – Reach Level 80
- Stars Unseen – Reach Knowledge Rank 10
- Worth Its Wait – Obtain both Gold Katana weapons by completing New Game+
Ubisoft also confirmed the game’s first expansion, Claws of Awaji DLC, which is scheduled for release on September 16, 2025. Update 1.0.7 is available now for all Assassin’s Creed Shadows players.
