Thrustmaster has announced the ESWAP X2 H.E, the latest addition to its ESWAP controller lineup and the first in the series to feature the company’s proprietary H.E.A.R.T. (HallEffect AccuRate Technology). This innovation brings magnetic sensor precision, improved reliability, and enhanced durability to competitive console and PC gaming.
Precision Through Hall Effect Technology
The ESWAP X2 H.E incorporates magnetic sensors developed from more than 15 years of expertise in flight simulation systems. Unlike traditional potentiometer-based sticks, which degrade over time due to friction, Hall Effect sensors measure stick position without physical contact. This eliminates drift—a common problem where a joystick registers movement without being touched.

According to Thrustmaster, the mini-sticks on the X2 H.E achieve a detection precision of 0.01 degrees, ensuring consistent performance over long-term use. By removing mechanical wear from the equation, the controller maintains its original responsiveness, offering players reliable input accuracy across thousands of gaming hours.
Modular Customization with Hot-Swap Technology
A defining feature of the ESWAP family is modularity, and the X2 H.E continues this approach with Hot-Swap technology. Gamers can swap mini-stick modules, D-pads, and layouts without replacing the entire controller. This flexibility allows users to configure their controller in symmetrical, asymmetrical, or customized arrangements that suit their preferences.

The system is designed to adapt to different genres, whether players prefer precision control in shooters, quick directional inputs in fighting games, or versatility across multiple gaming styles.
Enhanced Button Responsiveness

Beyond the new mini-sticks, Thrustmaster has upgraded the action buttons across the controller. The ABXY buttons, bumpers, triggers, and rear buttons use mechanical switches, which the company states are 64% faster than traditional membrane buttons, based on laboratory testing. With an actuation distance of just 0.3 mm, inputs register more quickly, helping players react faster during competitive matches where timing is critical.
Partnership with NRG Esports
Alongside the product launch, Thrustmaster announced a new partnership with NRG Esports, one of the most recognized Rocket League teams in North America. NRG players began using the ESWAP X2 H.E during training sessions at Thrustmaster’s headquarters in Rennes, France, ahead of the Rocket League World Championship in Lyon on September 10.

That preparation proved decisive as NRG went on to secure the championship title, further demonstrating the controller’s role in high-level competitive play. The partnership marks the beginning of a wider collaboration that will integrate Thrustmaster products into NRG’s content, training, and esports initiatives.
Availability and Pricing
The Thrustmaster ESWAP X2 H.E will be available worldwide beginning October 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $169.99 / €179.99 / £139.99.
With its combination of Hall Effect precision, modular customization, and faster button response times, the ESWAP X2 H.E is positioned as a performance-driven controller designed to meet the needs of both competitive and casual gamers.
