TerraMaster has officially launched its latest consumer-grade network-attached storage solution, the F4 SSD All-Flash Silent NAS Home Data Center. Targeted toward households, creative professionals, and small office environments, this new NAS system combines silent operation with an all-SSD architecture to meet the growing demand for fast, reliable, and secure data storage at home.
The F4 SSD introduces several upgrades over previous models in the lineup, notably a 5G Ethernet port that provides data transmission speeds up to five times faster than standard Gigabit connections. This allows for smoother 4K video streaming, rapid file transfers, and uninterrupted multi-user access across devices. TerraMaster states that these improvements help address common bottlenecks in modern home networks, especially those used for media-heavy tasks and remote collaboration.

The device works seamlessly with the TNAS Mobile App, allowing users to handle the entire setup process straight from their smartphone. After the initial setup, the app can automatically back up photos and videos from mobile devices, whether connected to Wi-Fi or using mobile data. These files are saved directly onto the F4 SSD, minimizing reliance on third-party cloud services. Built-in photo management tools use image recognition to categorize pictures by faces, pets, or scenes, making it simple to organize and find personal or work-related media.
Data privacy is a priority for the F4 SSD. Unlike traditional cloud services, this system offers local data storage combined with hardware encryption and user account isolation. Up to 20 separate user accounts can be configured, allowing individual family members or team members to maintain their own storage spaces while sharing select files securely. This setup is intended to give users more control over their data without relying on external providers.

For multimedia needs, the F4 SSD supports UPnP and DLNA streaming protocols, making it compatible with smart TVs, tablets, and media players. It works with popular media server software such as Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin, allowing users to stream content from their NAS across the home or remotely. The system also supports 4K video decoding, providing smooth playback for high-resolution media files.
In terms of system protection and data redundancy, the unit includes TerraMaster’s TRAID system, which can automatically manage disk configurations to optimize storage efficiency and protect data in the event of drive failure. It also includes cloud synchronization support for services like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Amazon S3, enabling users to set up bidirectional sync between the NAS and external platforms.

From a usability standpoint, the F4 SSD adopts a drawer-style chassis design that simplifies SSD installation and upgrades. The device features an intelligent cooling system that uses top-to-bottom airflow and a low-noise fan, maintaining a quiet working environment with noise levels as low as 19dB during standby.
TerraMaster positions the F4 SSD as a versatile solution for various users, from families looking to centralize digital memories to professionals handling large media files or operating in remote work environments. The device is currently available through TerraMaster’s online store and selected retail partners. It comes with a two-year warranty and lifetime technical support.
