TeamGroup Inc., a global leader in memory and storage solutions, has announced the launch of the Industrial P250Q Self-Destruct SSD. This new SSD is designed for industries and organizations requiring high levels of data security, including military, industrial automation, and artificial intelligence systems. The P250Q recently received the 2025 COMPUTEX Best Choice Award in the Cybersecurity category for its innovative approach to data protection.
The P250Q combines hardware and software-based data erasure methods. At the hardware level, it features a patented independent destruction circuit that directly targets the Flash IC for permanent data removal. This is supported by software that includes an auto-resume function to continue the erasure process after unexpected power interruptions. A one-touch activation button and multi-stage LED indicators provide clear and simple operation, ensuring users can execute secure data deletion quickly and efficiently.

The SSD is built on a PCIe Gen4x4 interface and complies with the NVMe 1.4 protocol. It offers sequential read speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 5,500 MB/s, allowing it to handle demanding workloads. The drive is available in 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB capacities, using 3D TLC NAND flash for reliable performance. It also includes S.M.A.R.T. monitoring technology to track device health and maintain stability over time.
In addition to the P250Q, TeamGroup announced that it has been granted a U.S. invention patent for its wide-temperature M.2 SSD technology. This technology automatically adjusts data transmission rates across three thermal zones, enabling stable performance in extreme temperatures between 85°C and 105°C. It is aimed at use cases such as electric vehicle control systems, industrial equipment, and in-vehicle computing, where heat management is critical.

TeamGroup stated that the introduction of the P250Q and the recognition of its wide-temperature SSD technology mark important progress in its focus on industrial storage and data security solutions. The company plans to continue developing storage products designed for secure and reliable operation in demanding environments. For more details, visit TeamGroup’s official website.
