Super Flower Launches Leadex 2800W PSU with Four 16-Pin GPU Connectors

Super Flower, the Taiwan-based power supply manufacturer, has officially released its most powerful consumer PSU to date, the Leadex 2800W. Originally showcased at Computex, the Leadex 2800W has now entered retail and stands out as the highest-wattage ATX power supply available on the market. With a capacity of 2800 watts, this unit is designed to meet the demands of the most power-hungry desktop systems, particularly those used in workstation or multi-GPU setups.

Until now, most high-end enthusiast PSUs have topped out at around 1600W, with a few exceptions like SilverStone’s Hela 2050R Platinum, which offers 2050 watts. The Leadex 2800W not only surpasses that but also introduces a number of features aimed at professional users. It complies with the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 specifications, making it compatible with current and upcoming GPU releases, including the GeForce RTX 50 series.

The Leadex 2800W features four 16-pin (12V-2×6) connectors, aligning with current power standards for high-performance graphics cards. This configuration offers substantial power delivery for demanding systems, making the unit well-suited for applications like 3D rendering, machine learning, and professional content production, where multiple high-end GPUs may be used.

Super Flower’s previous high-wattage PSU, the Leadex Platinum 2000W, was limited by the SF form factor. In contrast, the new 2800W model adopts the full ATX form factor and includes upgrades like Cybenetics Titanium efficiency certification and a resonant circuit design. Internally, the PSU uses all-Japanese capacitors for better reliability and long-term performance.

The cooling system includes a 140mm fan capable of spinning up to 3000 RPM, ensuring adequate thermal performance even under full load. The fan operates in tandem with a range of protection features, including Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), No Load Operation (NLO), and Surge & Inrush Protection (SIP).

Super Flower has priced the Leadex 2800W at 5,699 Yuan, roughly $793 USD. While this is on the high end for a PSU, it aligns with pricing trends for premium units above 1600W, which often exceed $500. Given the unique capabilities of the Leadex 2800W, especially its unprecedented power output and multi-GPU readiness, the price may be justifiable for those building ultra-high-performance systems.

Availability outside of Asia has not yet been confirmed, but the global market will likely see this unit through enthusiast retailers and distributors in the near future.
