SHADOW Launches Neo Cloud PC to Replace Boost Tier with Enhanced Performance and Broader Compatibility

SHADOW, a global provider of high-performance cloud computing solutions, has announced the launch of its latest product, Neo, a cloud-based gaming and productivity PC. The rollout begins on June 16, 2025, and will cover both European and North American markets. Positioned as the successor to SHADOW’s long-running “Boost” tier, Neo is designed to meet the growing demand for powerful remote computing for both individual and professional users.

The Neo configuration includes an AMD EPYC processor with 8 virtual cores running between 3.25 and 3.8 GHz, paired with a server-grade GPU equivalent to the NVIDIA RTX 4060 with 16 GB of video memory. The system also features 16 GB of DDR5 memory and supports a 1 Gb/s fiber connection. It is compatible with both Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.

Neo will be made available at a monthly starting price of $37.99 for new subscribers. However, SHADOW has confirmed that existing Boost users will automatically be upgraded to Neo without any increase in cost. According to the company, users can expect up to 150% improvement in gaming performance and up to 200% increase in professional software performance compared to the outgoing Boost tier.

SHADOW’s new offer retains its core approach of providing full Windows desktop access via the cloud, allowing users to install any software, run mods, and connect peripherals as they would on a local PC. Unlike many other cloud gaming services, SHADOW’s infrastructure supports cross-platform access across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, smart TVs, and web browsers. This allows users to access a consistent experience across different hardware environments.

“Neo is our newest and most versatile cloud PC yet,” said Olivier Abecassis, CEO of SHADOW. He added that the service is tailored for users engaged in a variety of tasks, including gaming with ray tracing and DLSS, 3D content creation, and remote professional workflows.

Neo supports modern graphics and rendering technologies, including DirectX 12, Vulkan 1.3, NVIDIA RTX, DLSS, AMD FSR, and Frame Generation. This ensures compatibility with both current and upcoming AAA game titles and demanding creative software suites.

Since its debut in 2017, SHADOW’s cloud PC platform has been used by over 700,000 individuals across 14 countries. The company is now focusing on expanding its customer base across gaming communities, creative professionals, and business sectors such as engineering, architecture, and media production.

With Neo, SHADOW is positioning itself to address the evolving expectations of remote computing users who require reliable, high-performance systems without being tied to traditional hardware constraints.
