PNY Launches CS3250 Gen 5 NVMe SSD with Speeds Up to 14,900 MB/s

PNY has announced the launch of its latest high-performance solid-state drive, the CS3250 M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 5 x4 SSD. The new model builds on the company’s experience in performance storage, offering faster speeds and greater efficiency for demanding users. It is aimed at developers, gamers, and creative professionals who require reliable, high-speed storage for intensive workloads.

The CS3250 makes use of the PCIe Gen 5 x4 interface, which delivers significant performance gains compared to PCIe Gen 4 solutions. According to PNY, the drive offers sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s, making it suitable for AI processing, 3D rendering, large-scale data operations, and high-resolution video editing.

PNY developed the CS3250 with a focus on next-generation computing requirements. The drive’s speed and stability make it ideal for applications that involve real-time data processing or rapid file transfers. For users involved in AI development, the CS3250 can handle the large datasets and quick access times that modern AI workflows demand.

Gamers will also benefit from the enhanced performance. Faster load times, improved asset streaming, and reduced stuttering in large open-world titles contribute to a smoother experience. The CS3250 also supports multitasking and background operations without noticeable slowdowns, allowing players to stream, capture gameplay, or run updates while gaming.

The drive’s thermal-coated controller ensures that high-speed operation is maintained even under load. By reducing heat buildup, PNY enhances both long-term durability and performance consistency. This makes the CS3250 a reliable option for systems that operate under heavy use or extended sessions.

The PNY CS3250 is available in 1 TB and 2 TB capacities, with a 4 TB variant planned for a future release. It uses the M.2 2280 form factor, compatible with most modern desktops and laptops that support PCIe Gen 5. The drive also carries a 5-year limited warranty or coverage based on total bytes written (TBW).

The PNY CS3250 Gen 5 NVMe SSD will be available starting October 28, 2025, through authorized retailers and online stores. The 1 TB model is priced at $125.99, while the 2 TB version will retail at $219.99. Pricing for the upcoming 4 TB variant will be announced closer to release.

With the CS3250, PNY strengthens its position in the high-performance SSD market, providing users with faster and more efficient storage built to meet the demands of modern computing. More information about availability and regional pricing will be shared on PNY’s official website and social channels.
