OneXPlayer Announces Price Increase for OneXFly APEX as Component Costs Continue to Rise

The gaming handheld market has entered a period of rising hardware costs, and multiple manufacturers have begun notifying customers about pending price adjustments. The latest update comes from OneXPlayer, a well-known name in the handheld and eGPU segment. The company has announced that its newly launched OneXFly APEX gaming handheld will receive a price increase due to higher DRAM and SSD prices affecting the entire industry.

In an official statement shared on X, OneXPlayer said its APEX memory and SSD inventory is running low. The company added that the continued rise in component prices has created a situation where maintaining the current Indiegogo pricing is no longer possible. As a result, the OneXFly APEX will undergo a pricing update in 96 hours. OneXPlayer also indicated that if market conditions remain unstable, a second adjustment may be required later.

This update affects every configuration of the OneXFly APEX, not only the higher-end options. The company confirmed that all models will see a uniform $200 increase. Even users choosing the 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD configuration will pay the adjusted amount once the new pricing takes effect. Both the air-cooled and liquid-cooled editions fall under this change, with no separate categories excluded from the price revision.

The OneXFly APEX serves as OneXPlayer’s flagship handheld and has drawn attention for its use of the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. It is currently the only handheld running this chip that offers a liquid-cooled version, which launched at $1,459. Meanwhile, the standard air-cooled model debuted at $1,399. After the upcoming adjustment, these prices will move to $1,659 and $1,599, respectively.

Despite the confirmed increase, OneXPlayer has not yet updated the Indiegogo listing. Instead, the company is allowing customers 96 hours to purchase the device at existing prices. This short window gives potential backers the option to secure the current rates before the new pricing structure is implemented.

Price increases across gaming handhelds and portable PCs have been anticipated for several weeks, as DRAM and SSD costs have continued to rise. Several hardware makers have signaled similar changes, suggesting a broader market trend driven by component shortages and higher manufacturing expenses. With memory and storage prices influencing nearly every consumer device, more announcements from other manufacturers are expected in the coming days.

For now, users interested in the OneXFly APEX still have a limited opportunity to purchase the handheld at its introductory pricing, while the industry continues to adjust to shifting component costs.
