Today, as anticipated, nubia’s sub-brand Red Magic launched the Bumblebee edition of its Red Magic 9 Pro+ smartphone, confirming recent speculation.
This limited edition release is all about yellow, drawing inspiration from Bumblebee in Transformers. The phone features extensive theming, prominently showcased on its back with a striking black and yellow paintjob.
The phone also features a carbon fiber texture finish, adding to its appeal. Alongside the Red Magic logo, you’ll find a Bumblebee logo to complete the design. The package includes custom packaging with Bumblebee’s codenames, along with a black and yellow magnetic cooler. Additionally, it comes with a custom 165W GaN charger, a themed SIM tray eject tool, a black and yellow USB-C cable, a Bumblebee badge, and a special magnetic case. Furthermore, the software is extensively themed around Bumblebee, as expected.
Priced at CNY 6,499, approximately $900 or €833, the special edition offers identical specs to the standard Red Magic 9 Pro+, but with upgraded 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. However, it’s unlikely to be available outside of China.
