NVIDIA Reportedly Delays GeForce RTX 5060 Ti / RTX 5060 Series Launch by a Few Weeks

NVIDIA is reportedly adjusting the release timeline for its upcoming mid-range GeForce RTX 5060 Ti / RTX 5060 series graphics cards, pushing their launches back by a few weeks each. According to new reports, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is now expected to arrive in mid-April 2025, while the standard RTX 5060 is anticipated to follow in mid-May. The latter’s release would come just before Computex 2025, a major industry event scheduled for later that month.

The RTX 5060 Ti is expected to be available in two memory configurations—16 GB and 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Both variants are likely to launch simultaneously or at least within a close timeframe. Meanwhile, the base RTX 5060 model is expected to be available in a single 8 GB configuration.

Both the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 are believed to be based on NVIDIA’s “GB206” GPU. This silicon is expected to feature either 36 or 40 Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs). The RTX 5060 Ti is said to utilize 36 SMs, enabling 4,608 CUDA cores, while the RTX 5060 is expected to be a more cut-down variant, utilizing 30 SMs for a total of 3,840 CUDA cores.

The GB206 chip stands out for its 128-bit memory interface, which supports GDDR7 memory. The RTX 5060Ti and RTX 5060 are both expected to have memory speeds of 28 Gbps, providing a total bandwidth of 448 GB/s.

GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Series Leak

The delay in the launch of these GPUs could give NVIDIA more time to optimize performance, fine-tune pricing, and ensure adequate supply at launch. The mid-range market is highly competitive, with AMD and Intel also vying for attention in this segment. NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 series will need to offer a balance of performance, power efficiency, and price to attract gamers and content creators looking for an upgrade.

With the launch of these GPUs now expected closer to Computex 2025, NVIDIA could be looking to align its marketing efforts with one of the biggest tech events of the year. More details, including official pricing and performance benchmarks, will likely emerge as the launch dates draw closer.
