NuPhy Launches Halo65 V2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard with New Keycaps and Switch Options

NuPhy has officially introduced the Halo65 V2, a follow-up to the larger Halo75 V2 that debuted last year. The new Keyboard keeps the brand’s updated design philosophy while bringing improvements in keycaps, switch selection, and software support. It is positioned as a compact 65% wireless mechanical keyboard designed for both productivity and enthusiast use.

The Halo65 V2 adopts the familiar 65% layout, which includes arrow keys and a four-key navigation column. It uses a CNC-machined aluminum top frame paired with a translucent polycarbonate bottom case, combining durability with practical features such as a 2.4 GHz dongle storage slot, two-stage flip-out feet, and hardware switches for layout and connectivity adjustments.

The keyboard now features NuPhy’s own double-shot PBT keycaps in the mSA profile, replacing the previous KOP keycaps. Buyers can choose from five colorways—Obsidian Black, Ionic White, Mojito (green), Blue Lagoon (blue), and Sakura Fizz (pink). It is currently available through NuPhy’s online store for $119.99, with wider retail availability expected at a later date.

Switch customization is a focus for the Halo65 V2. NuPhy partnered with Gateron to release four custom switch types: Mint Linear, Raspberry Linear, Lemon Tactile, and Blush Max Silent. All switches use a POM stem, polycarbonate top housing, and PA66 nylon bottom housing. Hot-swap compatibility with 3- and 5-pin MX switches provides additional flexibility for users who prefer third-party options.

Internally, the keyboard is built on a PCB gasket mount that helps reduce case resonance while typing. Six layers of acoustic dampening material are included, borrowed from NuPhy’s Gem80 design. The keyboard also introduces the GhostBar spacebar, which integrates silicone dampening to further limit unwanted echo and hollow sound.

Connectivity is another key area of focus. The Halo65 V2 supports USB-C wired, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2.4 GHz wireless connections. Wired and 2.4 GHz connections both feature a 1,000 Hz polling rate, while Bluetooth runs at 125 Hz. A 4,000 mAh battery powers the keyboard, offering up to 85 hours of use with backlighting and up to 240 hours with lighting disabled.

With its combination of updated materials, refined acoustics, and wireless flexibility, the NuPhy Halo65 V2 delivers a compact option for users who want a balance of design and performance.
