MSI has introduced theHerald BE9400, a new PCIe network adapter designed to bring Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity to desktop PCs. The card is compatible with systems that have an available PCIe slot and a USB 2.0 header, making it an easy way to upgrade existing computers with the latest wireless technologies.


The Herald BE9400 supports multiple Wi-Fi standards, including 802.11be, 802.11axe, 802.11ax, and older protocols, and operates in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands. Users can expect a peak tri-band bandwidth of 5764 Mbps and a channel width of up to 320 MHz, helping deliver stable, fast wireless performance across multiple devices.
The adapter supports multi-link operation and 4K QAM, features that enhance throughput and reduce latency in dense network environments. At its core, the Herald BE9400 uses the MediaTek MT7927 controller and connects through a PCI-Express 4.0 x1 interface. MSI also provides a dedicated antenna module with a magnetized base that can be placed on top of a PC case for improved signal reception and coverage.


While MSI has not yet announced pricing or availability, the Herald BE9400 is aimed at users looking to upgrade their desktop systems with the latest wireless connectivity options.
