MONTECH has officially introduced its latest entry in the cooling segment—the NX400 single-tower CPU Air Cooler. Designed to meet the demands of both high-performance gaming builds and professional workstations, the NX400 focuses on thermal efficiency, build compatibility, and stable acoustic performance.
The NX400 features a new heatsink design that includes 52 precisely arranged aluminum fins. This high-density fin stack is engineered to work in tandem with the unit’s heat pipes to improve heat transfer and airflow. According to MONTECH, the layout helps maximize cooling performance under sustained CPU workloads by enhancing air passage and minimizing resistance within the tower structure.
The NX400 now comes equipped with the newly developed E28 cooling fan. With a 28 mm thickness, it delivers higher static pressure compared to the more common 25 mm fans found in single-tower coolers. This added depth helps move air more effectively through the dense heatsink fins, improving thermal performance. MONTECH is offering the E28 in two options: a basic version for clean builds and an ARGB model for users looking to add lighting while maintaining airflow efficiency.
The E28 is also designed with acoustics in mind. It includes rubberized pads on all four corners to reduce vibration transfer to the heatsink and case, helping to maintain quieter operation even at higher RPMs. MONTECH has also implemented design considerations like a striped glossy top cover on the cooler, providing a polished aesthetic that fits both gaming and productivity environments without being overly flashy.
In terms of compatibility, the NX400 supports a wide range of CPU sockets from both Intel and AMD. This includes popular platforms such as Intel’s LGA1700 and AMD’s AM5, ensuring integration into most modern systems. With a height and width tailored to mid-tower and compact cases, the NX400 aims to offer broad install flexibility while maintaining adequate clearance for memory and other components.
The NX400 will be available starting June 16, 2025. MONTECH has priced the standard NX400 cooler at $25.90 USD, while the ARGB version will be available for $29.90 USD. Given the specifications and feature set, the NX400 enters the market as a competitive option for users looking to improve thermal performance without moving to more expensive dual-tower or liquid cooling solutions.
With this release, MONTECH expands its cooling product portfolio with a solution that balances airflow performance, ease of installation, and price accessibility. The NX400 is expected to be available through major online and retail PC hardware distributors.
