MONTECH Launches New X5 and X5M PC Cases with Expanded Support for Modern Hardware

MONTECH has officially introduced its latest PC case series, the X5 and X5M, designed for builders seeking both performance and design flexibility. The new cases serve as direct successors to the company’s earlier X3 lineup, offering expanded internal support, improved airflow, and a refreshed exterior design. With features aimed at gamers, system builders, and power users, the X5 and X5M provide two distinct form factors while maintaining a unified aesthetic.

The X5 is the larger of the two models and represents a full-size upgrade. It supports motherboards up to E-ATX in size, giving builders room to integrate high-performance components, multi-GPU setups, or complex water-cooling systems. Internal layout improvements include wider cable routing channels and more mounting options for storage devices. The X5 also accommodates graphics cards up to 420 mm in length and includes a built-in GPU holder to secure heavier modern GPUs without third-party brackets.

For cooling, MONTECH ships the X5 with three 140 mm front intake fans and a 120 mm exhaust fan already installed. The case is capable of housing 360 mm radiators at both the top and front, offering options for builders using AIO or custom loop cooling solutions. Airflow is enhanced with mesh front and top panels, while the internal layout helps channel air through key components for consistent thermal performance.

Visually, the X5 adopts a new carbon-style surface finish that gives the case a clean and sporty appearance. ARGB lighting is integrated and supports 25 lighting modes. These can be toggled using a physical switch on the case’s top I/O panel. In terms of front-panel connectivity, the X5 provides USB-C, USB-A, and a combination audio jack, making it compatible with a wide range of modern devices and peripherals.

Alongside the X5, MONTECH has introduced the X5M—a more compact mid-tower option with the same design language. It includes four pre-installed 120 mm fans and retains support for high-end graphics cards and cooling solutions despite its smaller size. The X5M is targeted at users with limited desk space or those looking for a minimal footprint without sacrificing component compatibility. The case also features the same carbon-textured finish and ARGB system found in the full-sized model, ensuring a consistent visual identity across builds.

Both models aim to serve different types of PC builders while maintaining performance standards. The X5 is positioned for high-end configurations, while the X5M offers a space-saving alternative with comparable features.

The MONTECH X5 and X5M cases will be available starting June 30, 2025, at 9 AM Eastern Time. Pricing is set at US$75.00 for the X5 (available in Black or White) and US$59.00 for the X5M (also in Black or White).
