Montech has unveiled its Beta 2 series of power supplies, designed to meet the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 CEM standards. These new power supply units (PSUs) offer a modern and efficient solution for mainstream gaming PC builds. Available in four output capacities—550 W, 650 W, 750 W, and 850 W—these units are aimed at providing reliable and consistent power to gaming systems at an affordable price point.

The Beta 2 series boasts 80 Plus Bronze certification, ensuring optimal energy efficiency with minimal heat generation. This makes them a solid choice for users looking to reduce power consumption without compromising on performance. All four models use a single +12V rail design and feature DC-to-DC switching, enhancing power delivery and stability during demanding tasks. The PSUs also come with a Japanese-made main capacitor, which adds to their longevity and reliability.
Montech’s Beta 2 PSUs are equipped with fixed cabling, with each cable individually sleeved for a neat, organized setup. The 120mm hydro-dynamic bearing fan included in each model ensures quiet operation even under load. Additionally, these PSUs come with the most common electrical protections, safeguarding the components from potential issues such as over-voltage, over-current, and short circuits.

Each unit also provides multiple connectivity options, including a 24-pin ATX connector, two 4+4 pin EPS connectors, and, for the 550 W, 650 W, and 750 W models, two 6+2 PCIe connectors. The 850 W model offers a 450 W-rated 12V-2×6 connector for more power-hungry systems.
Backed by a 5-year warranty, the Montech Beta 2 series offers a cost-effective solution for gamers and PC builders. The 550 W model is priced at $49.90, the 650 W model at $59.90, the 750 W model at $63.90, and the 850 W model at $69.90.
