Mistel has introduced the AIRONE PRO, a new wired mechanical keyboard designed for users who prefer a compact footprint and low-profile mechanical switches. The model adopts a 65% Japanese JIS layout and integrates CHERRY MX ULP (Ultra Low Profile) switches, available in both tactile and linear options. The release expands Mistel’s portfolio of enthusiast-focused keyboards in the Japanese market.

The use of CHERRY MX ULP switches allows the AIRONE PRO to maintain a slim chassis while retaining mechanical key characteristics. Ultra-low profile switches are designed to reduce overall keyboard height and key travel compared to traditional mechanical designs. By offering both tactile and linear variants, Mistel provides options for users who prioritize feedback or smoother keystrokes depending on their typing or gaming preferences.
The chassis is constructed from CNC-machined aluminum alloy, giving the keyboard a rigid structure. Mistel states that the internal layout includes sound-absorbing components intended to manage keystroke acoustics. The keyboard weighs 387 grams, making it suitable for compact desk setups or portable use scenarios. Laser-etched ABS keycaps are included, along with per-key RGB backlighting for customizable illumination.

On the software side, the AIRONE PRO supports QMK firmware and VIA key remapping. This combination enables users to reassign keys, create macros, and adjust layouts directly through compatible software tools. The keyboard operates via a wired connection with a 1000Hz polling rate, ensuring consistent input reporting for productivity tasks and gaming sessions.
The Mistel AIRONE PRO is priced at 31,880 yen in Japan. Based on current exchange rates, this converts to approximately $215 to $220 USD, though final pricing may vary depending on regional taxes and retailer margins. At the time of the announcement, Mistel had not confirmed availability outside Japan.

With its 65% JIS layout, aluminum construction, and CHERRY MX ULP switch integration, the AIRONE PRO enters the market as a compact mechanical keyboard aimed at users seeking a low-profile design combined with customization features through QMK and VIA support.
