MCHOSE Launches K99 V3 Mechanical Keyboard With 98-Key Layout and Triple-Mode Connectivity

MCHOSE has announced the launch of its latest custom mechanical keyboard, the K99 V3, expanding its lineup with a model that combines a compact footprint and full productivity features. The new keyboard uses a 98-key layout, which keeps the number pad while reducing overall width compared to a traditional full-size keyboard. This layout is commonly aimed at users who need numeric input without sacrificing too much desk space.

The K99 V3 comes equipped with Ice Cream mechanical switches. These switches offer a total travel distance of 3.5±0.3mm, aligning with standard mechanical switch specifications while focusing on consistent keystrokes. Internally, the keyboard adopts a gasket-mounted design paired with a six-layer filling structure. This construction approach is intended to manage internal resonance and provide a more even typing response across the board.

One of the key technical highlights of the K99 V3 is the use of MCHOSE’s self-developed Starry Sky solution. According to the company, this platform supports native dual 8K polling rates with a reported input latency of 0.125ms. MCHOSE also states that the keyboard includes full-band interference suppression, which is designed to maintain stable signal transmission during use, particularly in wireless modes.

In terms of connectivity, the K99 V3 supports three different connection options. Users can connect the keyboard via a Type-C wired interface, 2.4GHz wireless mode, or Bluetooth. This allows the keyboard to be used across multiple devices, such as desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Switching between connection modes makes the keyboard suitable for both fixed workstations and portable setups.

The keyboard also features a built-in multi-function control knob. This knob supports one-button wake-up, volume adjustment, and one-button mute. Additional functions can be assigned based on user preference. These settings, along with lighting effects, can be managed through MCHOSE’s M HUB software. The software also provides access to testing tools, allowing users to check key response and other basic performance metrics.

With the K99 V3, MCHOSE continues to focus on combining in-house hardware design with software integration. The keyboard targets users looking for flexible connectivity, a near full-size layout, and customizable controls in a single device. MCHOSE has not yet shared official pricing or availability details for different markets, but the K99 V3 is expected to roll out through the company’s regular sales channels in the coming period.
