Maxsun Unveils MS-Terminator B850 BKB WiFi Mini-ITX Motherboard with PCIe Gen 5 Support

Maxsun has announced the MS-Terminator B850 BKB WiFi, a Mini-ITX motherboard built for AMD’s Socket AM5 platform. It uses the AMD B850 chipset and aims to deliver compact performance for systems where space is limited.

The MS-Terminator B850 BKB WiFi uses a distinct PCI Express layout. Instead of a full PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot, the board features an open-ended PCIe Gen 5 x8 slot for graphics cards. The remaining lanes from the processor are directed to the rear of the PCB, powering two M.2 Gen 5 x4 slots. This setup provides additional bandwidth for storage while keeping the front of the board less crowded.

The motherboard supports dual-channel DDR5 memory through two DIMM slots. It draws power from a 24-pin ATX and an 8-pin EPS connector, ensuring stable delivery to the CPU and other components.

Network connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and a 2.5 GbE LAN port, giving users both wireless and wired options. The rear panel houses HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for integrated graphics, alongside multiple USB ports, including a 20 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connection.

Designed for small form factor builds, the MS-Terminator B850 BKB WiFi offers modern platform support in a compact layout. Its design reflects an effort to balance high-speed storage, efficient cooling, and versatile connectivity in limited space.

Maxsun has not yet disclosed pricing or release details for the MS-Terminator B850 BKB WiFi, but the motherboard is expected to appeal to users planning compact gaming or productivity systems on the AM5 platform.
