Maxsun has officially unveiled the iCraft B850 AIGA, its first ATX motherboard designed for AMD’s AM5 platform. Previously, the company’s AM5 lineup focused on micro-ATX and ITX boards, but the iCraft B850 AIGA expands the range into the full ATX form factor. The new model is scheduled for release between August and October this year.

The iCraft B850 AIGA features a VRM section with at least 20 inductors, supported by dual EPS 8-pin connectors for CPU power. This setup suggests the board is built to handle high-end Ryzen processors under demanding workloads. Memory support includes four DDR5 DIMM slots, offering users compatibility with the latest high-speed memory kits.

In terms of expansion, the motherboard provides three PCIe slots. The primary PCIe ×16 slot features an open-ended design for broader hardware support. The secondary PCIe ×8 slot shares bandwidth with the first, while a third short PCIe ×1 slot adds flexibility for additional devices. Storage options include a 22110-size M.2 slot with indications of more M.2 support for future configurations.

The rear I/O layout provides a wide range of connectivity. It includes eight USB Type-A ports (four USB 2.0 and four USB 3.x), a single USB Type-C port, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, a 5GbE LAN port, Wi-Fi antenna connectors, five audio jacks, and an S/PDIF output.
Maxsun has also confirmed a redesigned BIOS for the iCraft B850 AIGA, aiming to improve system configuration and tuning. The board layout appears clean, with no visible I/O conflicts apart from the two direct-out PCIe slots.
With the iCraft B850 AIGA, Maxsun is positioning itself to compete in the ATX motherboard segment for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series and beyond. Pricing and availability details are expected to be shared closer to launch.
