Lofree Launches Flow 2 Ultra-Thin Mechanical Keyboard Globally with New Features and Layout Options

Lofree has officially introduced the Flow 2 mechanical keyboard to international markets, continuing its approach to compact mechanical design with a focus on build quality and flexibility. The new model is a follow-up to the original Flow and Flow Lite versions, and it retains the all-aluminum body that was a highlight of its predecessors while adding updated features designed for broader user appeal.

The Lofree Flow 2 features a slimmer profile than the earlier models, which Lofree notes is intended to help ease the transition for users who may be unfamiliar with mechanical keyboards. This approach also supports improved portability without compromising the structural rigidity of the device. The keyboard comes in two finishes—silver and space gray—giving users basic but clean aesthetic options suitable for both home and professional environments.

To cater to a range of usage scenarios and desk setups, the Flow 2 is offered in three layout sizes. These include a 68-key (65%) version, an 84-key (75%) variant, and a full-size 100-key (96%) model. Each option is designed to provide different balances between space-saving and functionality, giving users flexibility in choosing the model that best fits their workspace needs.

One of the more notable additions is the inclusion of a touch bar positioned on the right edge of the keyboard. This bar supports horizontal sliding input, and by default, it allows users to control system functions such as volume and screen brightness. This addition brings a layer of convenience typically not found in compact mechanical keyboards.

In terms of keycap material, Lofree has opted for POM (Polyoxymethylene), a durable plastic known for its resistance to oil and wear. The keycaps feature a transparent design, which complements backlighting while aiming to improve the overall longevity of the device, especially for users who type frequently or use the keyboard in shared environments.

Connectivity is another focus area for the Flow 2. The keyboard supports tri-mode connection options: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired via USB-C. The USB-C port is placed on the right side of the keyboard and is paired with a right-angle elbow adapter, making it more suitable for tight desk setups or when connected to a laptop. Compatibility is broad, with support for Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, and the keyboard works with VIA software for custom key mapping, macro programming, and touch bar configuration.

Lofree has opened pre-orders for the Lofree Flow 2 with region-wide availability. Pricing is tiered according to the layout selected:

  • 68-key model is priced at $89
  • 84-key version is available for $99
  • 100-key variant is listed at $109

With the Flow 2, Lofree continues its emphasis on compact form factors, solid construction, and multi-device flexibility. The keyboard is positioned to appeal to users who want a mechanical typing experience without the bulk or steep learning curve often associated with traditional mechanical keyboards.
