Lian Li has announced the release of the 8.8-inch Universal Screen (US88v1), a secondary display designed for hardware monitoring, media playback, and custom visuals inside a PC case.
The Universal Screen is equipped with an 8.8-inch IPS panel offering a 1920×480 resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and a 500-nit brightness level. The display connects via USB rather than traditional GPU display outputs, allowing it to function independently without consuming graphics card resources. Users can connect the screen through either a 9-pin motherboard USB header or a USB Type-A extension cable.

By avoiding the use of GPU ports, the Universal Screen provides a dedicated solution for displaying real-time system information, preloaded graphics, or user-uploaded content. This ensures compatibility across a wide range of systems and simplifies installation.
LIAN LI includes an adjustable bracket designed to provide flexibility when positioning the screen inside a chassis. The mounting system supports tilt, rotation, horizontal, and vertical adjustments, allowing users to configure the screen according to case layout and visibility preferences.

The bracket can be mounted using standard fan screws on both 120 mm and 140 mm fan frames, or alternatively, attached to a flat panel surface through the provided adhesive pad. The design enables users to integrate the display in different orientations and placements, depending on system configuration.
The US88v1 is controlled through LIAN LI’s L-Connect 3 software, which manages both screen content and the built-in diffused ARGB lighting surrounding the display. Through the software, users can upload videos, images, or animated overlays, as well as monitor hardware metrics such as CPU and GPU usage, temperatures, and fan speeds.

L-Connect 3 also synchronizes the ARGB lighting with other LIAN LI-compatible devices, offering a unified system lighting configuration. This integration provides users with centralized control over both visual content and illumination effects.
The LIAN LI 8.8-inch Universal Screen (US88v1) will be available starting September 19, 2025. Customers can choose between black or white finishes, with an official MSRP of $84.99.
With its combination of a wide IPS panel, USB-powered operation, and flexible mounting options, the Universal Screen is positioned as an accessory for PC enthusiasts who want system monitoring and media display capabilities inside their build.
