While popular, the device’s large display does not provide the same flexibility as larger 2-in-1 devices like the 11-inch OneXPlayer, which can double as a general-purpose computing machine. A recentleak from Windows Latest suggests Lenovo may be exploring a foldable version, potentially combining the portability of a handheld with the functionality of a mini laptop.
The leak indicates that the Legion Go Fold would feature a foldable POLED display, expanding from 7.7 inches to 11.6 inches. Detachable controllers are expected to connect wirelessly, allowing the display to be used in 7.7-inch landscape mode or 11.7-inch portrait or landscape modes when attached. This portrait mode could be split for dual-screen-style interaction similar to a Nintendo DS. In addition, a detachable keyboard would let users operate the device like a mini laptop in its full 11.7-inch mode, expanding its versatility beyond gaming.
According to the leak, the Legion Go Fold will offer strong specifications, including an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, 32 GB of memory, and a 48 Wh battery. Lenovo is also expected to maintain the vertical FPS mode seen on the Legion Go and Legion Go 2. While this foldable model may initially remain a concept, Lenovo has a track record of releasing innovative form factors, such as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, suggesting a future commercial version is possible. The company is reportedly planning to showcase the Legion Go Fold concept at MWC 2026 on March 2, although a retail release may still be a few steps away.
