Helegaly Confirms July 5 Launch Date for Action Pi Handheld Console

Helegaly has officially announced that its new handheld gaming console, the Action Pi, will be available starting July 5, 2025. The device has drawn attention since its reveal earlier this year, and the company’s confirmation puts an end to speculation regarding its launch timeline. Pre-orders are now open on Helegaly’s website, and the base model is priced at $59.99.

The standard version includes a 64 GB microSD card and is available in three color options: black, pink, and white. For users needing more storage, a 128 GB variant is available for an additional $5, bringing the price to $64.99. Helegaly has also confirmed plans to release a special Indigo edition styled after the classic GameCube aesthetic later in the summer. Customers can sign up on the company’s website to receive email updates regarding availability.

The Action Pi is powered by the Allwinner A527 processor, which includes eight Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at up to 2 GHz. Graphics performance is handled by the Mali-G57 MC1-2EE GPU. The system includes 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal eMMC storage, with expandable storage supported via the included microSD card. The handheld runs Batocera, a Linux-based operating system designed for retro game emulation. It supports over 20 legacy gaming platforms, including systems like the NES, Sega Genesis, PlayStation Portable, and Dreamcast.

The handheld features a 4.02-inch IPS screen with a 960 × 720 resolution, offering a 4:3 aspect ratio well-suited to retro games. A 5,000 mAh battery powers the unit, which is expected to provide several hours of continuous gameplay on a single charge. On the connectivity front, the Action Pi includes dual USB-C ports, a mini-HDMI output for external display support, a 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot for storage expansion.

In terms of design, Helegaly has equipped the Action Pi with Hall-effect analog sticks, which are known for durability and drift resistance. The layout also includes a responsive D-pad and ergonomically positioned buttons aimed at providing comfort during extended play sessions.

With a compact form factor, support for a wide range of retro consoles, and a competitive price point, the Helegaly Action Pi is positioned to appeal to both casual gamers and retro enthusiasts. Helegaly’s official store is currently accepting pre-orders, with shipments scheduled to begin in early July.
