GMKtec has announced the international availability of its new NucBox M5 Ultra Mini PC, expanding its compact desktop lineup for global and European customers. The system is positioned as a versatile option for professionals, creative users, and home setups, combining portability with hardware designed to handle demanding workloads.
The NucBox M5 Ultra is available in several configurations, giving buyers flexibility in choosing performance levels. Options include a barebone unit for users who prefer to install their own components, a 16 GB RAM with 512 GB SSD model, and a 32 GB RAM with 1 TB SSD model for heavier multitasking and storage requirements.
At the center of the system is the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U, an 8-core, 16-thread processor built on a 7 nm process. Paired with integrated AMD Radeon Graphics running at 2000 MHz, the M5 Ultra is designed for both productivity and multimedia use.
The device also supports dual-channel DDR4 memory up to 64 GB, and two PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 2280 slots, each accommodating up to 8 TB of storage. This allows a combined capacity of 16 TB, with one slot offering support for both SATA and PCIe, while the other supports PCIe only.
For connectivity, the NucBox M5 Ultra includes dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports, which enable use as a compact server or software router. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 for high-speed networking and device pairing.
To manage heat, GMKtec has implemented a dual-fan cooling system with superconducting copper and dual-turbine fans, aiming to sustain performance during intensive workloads. The mini PC also supports triple-display output through HDMI, DisplayPort, and Type-C connections, making it suitable for multi-monitor productivity or entertainment setups.
The NucBox M5 Ultra is now listed on both the GMKtec Global Store and the GMKtec European Store. Early adopters can access a promotional discount of $12 or €10 by using the codes GMKM5UPR or PRM5Ultra10, starting from September 19.
Shipments for the first batch have already begun, with international customers eligible to order immediately.
